Dog and Cat

 

Once upon a time, in a small village by the edge of the woods, there lived a clever black cat named Luma and a loyal golden dog named Bramble. Most of the other animals thought it strange that the two should be friends—cats liked their quiet corners and dogs liked their noisy adventures. But from the day Bramble chased a squirrel up a tree and got his leash tangled in the branches, only for Luma to climb up and free him, they had been inseparable.

They spent their days exploring together: Bramble bounding through tall grass while Luma padded gracefully behind, always ready with a warning hiss when he spotted a thorn bush or a rabbit hole Bramble might stumble into. At night, when the world was still, Bramble would curl up by the fireplace, and Luma would perch on his back, purring so softly that Bramble would drift to sleep with a smile on his muzzle.

One autumn evening, when the wind rattled the shutters and the villagers stayed inside, a lost duckling waddled into the square, shivering and crying. It was Luma who first noticed and gently mewed to Bramble. Without hesitation, Bramble nosed the duckling close to his chest to keep it warm, while Luma darted ahead to guide them to the pond on the far edge of the forest. Together, they reunited the duckling with its family.

From then on, no one in the village thought their friendship strange. Instead, they whispered with fondness: “That’s the pair who look after each other—and everyone else too.”

And so, under sunlit fields and moonlit skies, Luma and Bramble lived their days side by side, proving that the best friendships need no explanation. More  Download click here
